How To Clear Most Visited Web Pages History From Google Chrome

Are you using the Google Chrome web browser in your computer? Then you would definitely know how it displays your frequently visited pages. When you open a new tab in Google Chrome, it opens with a group of thumbnails for the most frequently accessed web pages. When you click on these thumbnails, you will be taken directly to that particular website which makes your browsing easy.
There is no need to type the URL or web address of your frequently visited site; just click on the thumbnail and you land directly on the site. However, this can sometimes cause problems as your browsing history is made public when you have these thumbnails on the screen, which can be embarrassing at times. By clearing your browsing cache, you can avoid getting thumbnails or get rid of any browsing history. Learn how to clear your browsing cache by following the Google Chrome Support guidelines mentioned below.

Instructions

Go to the “Start” menu and click “Google Chrome” to launch the browser.
To open a new tab, click on “+” sign which you see on the tab bar. As the new tab opens, your recently visited sites will be displayed automatically on your screen. If you want to delete these thumbnails individually, hover the mouse pointer over a thumbnail and click on the cross that appears at the top right corner of the thumbnail.
Now go to the “wrench” icon at the top right corner of Google Chrome window and click on it. From the drop down menu, select “Options”.
From the “Options” screen, select the option “Under the Bonnet”. Now click the option “Clear Browsing Data”.
When you select this option, you will be prompted to choose how far back the browsing history should be cleared. Select “the beginning of time” in order to clear your entire browsing data. In this “Clear Browsing Data” window, you could see several options like clear browsing history, clear download history, delete cookies, clear saved passwords, etc, with checkboxes beside them to enable selection. Selecting the checkbox for “Clear Browsing History” will delete all browsing history, including your most visited sites. For clearing other options, simply select the checkboxes adjacent to them.
The clearing time depends on how long you have previously done this, and how much data you have in your browsing history. If you have any queries regarding this, you may contact Google Chrome Support team and get assistance.
